The university’s state-of-the-art computer labs are used for learning, assignments and research. Each faculty has dedicated labs running hardware and software tailored to its needs.
Facilities
Computer labs are equipped with the latest HP and Dell workstations, and Apple iMacs that run on:
- Powerful Intel and AMD processors.
- Latest dedicated graphic cards from the NVIDIA GeForce and AMD FirePro series.
- Latest industry-leading software used by professionals such as the Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Autodesk 3ds Max (3D modelling and rendering software), Autodesk Maya (3D animation software), AutoCad (2D and 3D computer-aided design and drafting software used primarily by architects and engineers).
- Other specialist software, including Avid and Propellerhead’s Reason for sound and music students; Microsoft Visual Studio Pro, Code::Blocks, MySQL, GlassFish, NetBeans and Apache Tomcat for IT students; Toon Boom, Roxio Creator and ZBrush for multimedia, animation and game development students; SketchUp, SOLIDWORKS and BricsCAD for architecture and design students; and Microsoft Project and Visio for business and management students.
